Conveyancing

Residential and commercial property settlements across Queensland.

Overview

Most Queenslanders' largest single transaction is a property purchase or sale. It deserves a qualified lawyer — not just a settlement clerk.

Our conveyancing team handles residential and commercial property transactions across Queensland end-to-end, with a Trilogy lawyer accountable for your file from contract review to settlement.

What we do

  • Settlement

PEXA electronic settlement and post-settlement registration of title.

  • Commercial property settlements

Including GST, going-concern, and lease-bound transactions.

  • Off-the-plan and new builds

Common questions

Frequently asked

Should I use a conveyancer or a lawyer for my Brisbane property purchase?+

A lawyer can do everything a conveyancer can do and more — including resolving title defects, contract disputes, or any issue that arises out of the standard. At Trilogy, you pay competitive conveyancing rates and get a qualified lawyer on your file.

How much does conveyancing cost in Brisbane?+

Our standard residential conveyancing is fixed-fee. Costs vary based on whether the property is new, off-the-plan, or commercial. We provide a written quote before you engage us.

How long does property settlement take in Queensland?+

Most contracts settle 30–60 days from signing. Off-the-plan and complex commercial settlements can take longer. Once your contract is signed, we work to the date in the contract.

Do I need a building and pest inspection?+

We strongly recommend it. The standard REIQ contract has a building and pest condition — we manage the timing and any subsequent negotiations.

What is PEXA?+

PEXA is the electronic platform used for almost all Queensland property settlements. We act on PEXA daily.
