Practice Area

Insurance Litigation

Coverage disputes, claim denials and insurer-side litigation.

Overview

Insurance disputes turn on the precise wording of a policy and the precise facts of the loss. Generic advice does not cut it.

Trilogy Law Group acts for insureds and corporate policyholders in disputes with insurers — from denied claims to coverage opinions, subrogated recoveries, and indemnity contests.

Common questions

Frequently asked

My insurer has denied my claim — what now?+

Get the denial in writing, get the policy, and get advice quickly. Many denials can be challenged successfully with the right legal argument and evidence.

Should I go to AFCA or court?+

AFCA is usually faster and lower cost for personal lines and smaller commercial claims. Court is appropriate for larger commercial coverage disputes. We help you choose the right forum.

Will my premiums go up if I dispute a claim?+

Disputing a claim does not directly affect premiums — but the underlying loss may. We can advise on the practical implications before you escalate.

Do you act for insurers as well as insureds?+

We act for both, depending on the matter and conflict checks.

How are insurance disputes funded?+

Some policies cover legal costs for coverage disputes. Where that is the case, we work within the insurer's panel arrangements. Otherwise we scope and bill in stages.
